After a house hunt, star formerly known as Stefani Germanotta settled on a two-bedroom, two-bath CPS spread where Lance Armstrong, Liza Minnelli, and Broadway director/choreographer/writer/dancer Michael Bennett have lived. Given the staid decor, we're not surprised that Mother Monster is already on the hunt for updated furnishings that are the interior design equivalent of a meat dress. Antiques dealer David Duncan reports that she has bought "a throne-like French Louis XVI-style porter's chair, circa 1880, with a carved gilt wood frame. It has a very regal, upholstered hooded topâ€â€a chair fit for a queen." Gaga has also opted for Hinson's Martinique wallpaper, a leafy, exotic print known for covering the Beverly Hills Hotel. And in a typically quirky move, she's also bought a 1960s-era cast bronze sculpture of a sheep, complete with a thick coat of black lamb's fur. Duncan's rep writes: "Perhaps to compliment her new expansive view of the Central Park's Sheep Meadow?" Lady Gaga's new apartment, with its walk-in closet, two wood-burning fireplaces, and four terraces overlooking the park, is a far cry from her former digs at 176 Stanton Street, where she spent part of the 2000s as she was just starting out.
