Economy 43,997
Only 40,000 copies?? its actually not that much if you think about it... Here in Canada we have 35 million people and you need 100k to make it platinum Sweden has less than 10 million people... they have less than 30% of Canadas population but need 40% of our sales to make it platinum if you compare it to the population of the US ud see that in Proportion its also harder for it to go platinum in Sweden than in the US

Miley 5,006
Still you guys have to remember that Spotify has now taken over the market, which by the way is Swedish. Most people here stream music. Btw has now sold as much as The Fame (also platinum) and The Fame Monster (also platinum) Aaaannnd.... Remember that Eh, Eh (Nothing else I can say) went #2 in Sweden
Economy 43,997
When was this confirmed, today? Anyway, congrats. if that equals a Platinum certification in Sweden then that's a lot. it is. do the math the US has 315 million people which means only 1 in 315 in the US need to buy the CD to make it platinum (1 mnillion copies) In Sweden with less than 10 million people that number would be 1 in 250 that would need to buy it to make it platinum So platinum in Sweden is in fact harder
