She probably would have to wear ted hose stocking after surgery to prevent blood clots. It looks like she is wearing regular stockings. "Why Do I Need To Have a Ted-Hose Compression Stocking?You may be given a ted-hose stocking after surgery.This helps prevent swelling in the foot, ankle and knee after surgery.It also helps reduce the risk of blood clots after surgery.Wear the stockings at least 2 weeks after surgery, however, 4 weeks is ideal.
