Starbucks is being an industry leader by getting rid of plastic straws that surprisingly somehow make up to 4% of plastic garbage in Oceans in terms of number of pieces (not total weight)

With the amount of people that go to Starbucks to drink Coffee (for the aesthetics) every single day, I’m not surprised straws make up 4% of plastic garbage in Oceans..

No. Plastic straws in general

 

Also it's by number of garbage pieces not volume or weight. Obviously 1 plastic bag for example would be worse than 3 straws
