Nicki started out her new Queen era with "Chun-Li" and "Barbie Tingz". "Barbie Tingz" failed to catch on and it remains to be seen if it's going on the album (not listed on iTunes, but Nicki said it might be on it on Twitter).

"Chun-Li" debuted at #10 on the Hot 100 and was subsequently sent to radio as the lead single. However, after its first week, the song failed to hold on to any kind of dominance. As you can see below. It began its free-fall from radio this week and expected to fall to the mid-50s this week.

Chun-Li (2018) *1 week in Top 10*
1st Week: #92
2nd Week: #10 - PEAK POSITION
3rd Week: #48
4th Week: #50
5th Week: #19
6th Week: #29
7th Week: #28
8th Week: #33
9th Week: #46
10th Week: #43 (still charting)

"Bed" seemed like a smart marketing choice as the next single (which has been sent to radio), since it features Ariana and the two have had successful collabs in the past. But the song is only expected to debut at #49 this week and has fallen to #146 on iTunes

So with this being said, do you think the GP is over Nicki now?

This post isn't for a "OMG NICKI MINAJ IS OVER HAHAHAHAHAHAH", I made it as a real question about her current success in the industry.

People said roughly the same thing about Gaga's chart positions, saying her career was "over" lololol. Nicki is fine for now, the album isn't even out yet.

Her career will never be over. She has a devoted fan base that’s always hungry for new material by her. Sure the GP might leave her, but every artist peaks.

Her career isn’t over, just her appeal to the gp.

It's the same lyrics, the same style of rapping, the same tone, the same look, the same everything every single era.

Serve something mature, relatable, and meaningful and it might change things up.

Pills and Potions was a step in the right direction but it's lack of success led to Anaconda.

Maybe people are tired of her. She is featured in a lot of songs, making people not expect anything new from her. Her songs sound like the ones she’s featured in so it’s nothing new from her and its in my opinion very boring.

Not trying to be rude but maybe overexposure from being on too many features

Anaconda was great though.

Her imperial phase is over, but her career isn't.

She was never that big outside of pop, when she stopped doing Starships and pop music she always flopped, besides there were no real competition in rap hiphop so....  if she were in the times of Lauryn Hill, Lil Kim, Missy Elliot, she wouldnt even had so many fts

Plus, that's what she deserves, Azealia is better but she's somehow more messy than Nicki, plus Niki was always a bitch with Iggy and other girls, her homophobic tweets, supporting her pedo brother, her nazi video nlasnvlnvlanvla   im actually surprise this take so long to hit her

Imo Nicki has the potential to make a body of work that continues the ideas she had with the Roman's Revenge/Monster vibe. It was creative and dynamic, unlike this basic Nicki who's now a rent-a-rapper prototype.

She over exposed herself with features before her own era started. A few would have been cute. But she’s done like 20 features in the last year. Plus these double single releases aren’t helping her chart positions either
