Joanne sold 1.5 million, according to both the IFPI and Metacritic. I'm a Xtina fan, but I need to correct you there. Bionic came out in 2010 when sales were a lot higher than now. So 1 million then is a flop, while 1.5 million today is considered moderate (Ariana sold 2 million of her last album, Rihanna's ANTI also sold over 2 million). Meanwhile, when Bionic came out a hit album sold about 5-6 million on average. I love Christina but this is the truth. Joanne was a bigger hit than Bionic. It hurts to say that but it's true. And just a little better. 2/ Selling 1M in 2012 is a shame, meanwhile selling 1M in 2017 is a smash. With the success it has, Joanne would have sold ~3,5-4M copies in 2012. Edit : Bionic was released im 2010. Joanne would have sold around 5M copies by that time. 3/ Calm down sis, here we love to joke, so do we when it comes to Gaga with Million Performances or other stuff. Ok ok so yea she has a tour bundle but she is playing casinos and theaters (you find ME at the ATL date!) .... I will guess 59-64k. I hope for more but that's a guess. Bionic debuted with 110k in 2010. That’s horrific. It’s gold certified NOW, and it’s PROBABLY 1 mil WW but not in the US alone. Lotus did terrible too.
