Define "so many hits" because I can count them with only one hand :awkney:

You must be one of those people who thinks Gaga hasn't had a hit since Bad Romance :smh: Just because you don't hear a song when you turn on the radio  today doesn't mean it wasn't a hit at the time. BTW (the song) was #1 for like eight weeks, remember.

Jennie Kim

It won't come close to any of those.

Purpose was bigger WW than any Gaga era (not debatable)

Lemonade is more acclaimed than any Gaga era (not debatable)

Please don't quote me with your delusions.

I vote for Purpose :firega: they're well-made songs, were fresh when they came out, some slow/personal songs, huge success, what's not to be here for

But why? If she's making critically acclaimed music anyway (in the case of a Lemonade-esque album)?

So what if she gets 80+ on Metacritic? Big deal :air: Even tho, that would be awesome.

She needs hits and relevance, that way ---> more money ---> bigger tours, videos, performances...

With all those little chartsters around is that really a question? :poot:

Either way since gaga is all about reinvention and doing a different sound every time it would be really cool if LG6 was very modern/futuristic-sounding (whatever the heck that means)

I mean, I agree with the latter of those, definitely. Not the first though, were you around in 2009/2010?

The point is, I wanted to know whether fans wanted an album of hits or an acclaimed album.

Actually, she needs to prove that she isn't something that expired on the radio 10 years into her career.

I'm embarrassed to have read this.

Why? :air:

If she starts flopping from now on, her relevance on the pop scene would expire.

lol success it is !

critical acclaim means nothing to me, especially when Lemonade is so aclaimed while it is just a boring mess

What on earth are you talking about. Do you really want me to paste the WW sales of Purpose vs. The Fame, cuz I'll do it henny

But let's not waste our time and you can just edit your post to add some nuance :trollga:

Edit: omg someone already did it for me :air:

Gaga starred in a TV show, is starring in a movie, released a non-pop album with Tony Bennett... why do you think the pop music scene even matters to her anymore   I feel like you're the one living in a stan bubble since you don't seem to understand that she's moved beyond the pop realm.
