Heartbreaker by Dolly Parton @Rumours1977, do you agree?

I voted Other in the poll above. :gaycat:

I do love Heartbreaker (it’s certainly better than anything else listed in the poll above). :)

I am just hesitant to say that it’s my favorite country pop album. Among Dolly’s albums that are more pop, there are others that I really enjoy as well. It’s a hard choice

The Child

Rainbow really is overrated here, except for Praying & maybe Woman, the album is pretty forgettable.:awkney:

Lust for Life has like two songs that might come close to qualifying lmao. It is definitely more hip-hop inspired :spin:

Lust for Life country influenced? :laughga:

Its her most folk/roots influenced album if not just in instrumental stylings but the way she puts some of her lyrics together and theres a twang in her voice in particular songs including Coachella and also some of the specific americana country staples she references lyrically including but not limited to White Mustang and also visually with the way her album cover kind of harks back to 70s rock n roll but also 70s country crossover records. I wouldn't say the album is heavy on hip-hop at all really, the influence is present as it always is (sans Ultraviolence maybe)? But compared to like Born To Die not really. I mean yeah Summer Bummer obviously.
