That is..not how it works.

Songwriters just sell complete songs to singers and they record them. There are countless examples. For example how demos are just serviced up to Rihanna.

I just said that the same thing happened. Gaga got the demo that was linked above, changed 2 lines to get writing credits and a bigger percentage of the cut from the song, and then put it on the album. This is a common practice in the music industry.
