But this is so under-rated and raw and just amazing. It’s one of those performances where it kind of just got brushed under the carpet and that’s unfortunate because it’s perfect in every way. Puts half of the Million Reasons performances to shame for me because I really felt the lyrics and story behind the song It hit so close to home for me. It’s amazing, my Dad’s sister, she passed away from a really rare disease, her name was Lorraine. It’s not quite Joanne, but it’s close enough to me. I’m 26 now, it makes me feel all kinds of emotions but the one important one is knowing that amazing incredibly selfless lady through my childhood. This song is so incredible. She has such an amazingly powerful voice but I love how soft and light her voice sounds in this version, and I prefer it to the album version actually.
