Up until the acapella bit though, the team saved her voice by having the backing track way too loud during each chorus, and I think they pulled an Ariana Grande with the "oooh"'s before each chorus. An Ariana Grande is pre-recording the highest notes once and repeating them throughout the song while the singer lip-syncs. Ariana was caught doing this when her high note during a song (can't remember which song) on every tour date was the -exact- same and much louder than her actual live vocals.
