Yeah ik it was different but with that album she had a lot of potential hit songs, when it comes to Joanne it really lacks that

AYO, JW and DIC could've all been hits with proper treatment.

btw Joanne is actually my fav Gaga album but the reality is that when it comes to potential hit songs it really lacks that, there's not a single song that you'll go like "Yes this is the song that could become something big"

lets not care what is a "hit" and just enjoy the music.

I honestly could care less what is #1 or #100.

yeah its nice that its number 1 but Gaga makes music for US and not the GP.

I honestly feel like we should stop hoping to get another WW smash hit from Lady Gaga

Let's be happy if she get other top 10s

You're making out it's hard for her to get a top 10.. it's not

if she puts out more mainstream sounding music for LG6 then she will get at least 2 top 10s easily

PI just wasn't commercial enough to grow

Exactly this, it just wasn't commercial enough

It is hard for Gaga to get a top 10 hit because otherwise she wouldn't have needed to perform at America's most televised event to achieve a moderate hit single. She has been excelling when it comes to physical sales in comparison to her contemporaries for sure, but currently she has to rely on marketing tactics in order to attain the same amount of success others have by doing minimal promotion. Gaga is not a streaming force at the moment and her team needs to work on that if they want her to have a hit again.

Tbh the next era needs a 3-step route to huge success.

1. Digestible song (The cure, dangerous woman)

2. A huge promo slot (Eurovision, superbowl, Glastonbury)

3. A stylistic video (Paparazzi, Bad romance, only girl in the world)

It's not hard. If she wants to she will but she just banked a superbowl, 100M+ tour and 100M+ residency & 2 Grammy noms from an "underperformance".

We can all Witness these successes and remember success isn't a chart placement. Unless chart placement is all you have.

I agree with the last sentence so much. Gaga has struggled to attain a hit single with longevity for years, however that didn't discourage her to pursue endeavors that will cement herself into an icon. Being determined to create an impact in pop culture is what she always excels in.
