I feel like reputation is far too processed and manufactured an album to have any sort of resonance with people. I really tried to like Taylor, and she served the perfect kind of bubblegum pop with 1989- intriguing but consumable. By with songs like Look, they sound so promising until the chorus hits, and it’s just not there, people get bored, it’s too flat. Same with Ready For It.
