I plan on going to a show in Vegas, which has nothing to do with Gaga retiring. Plane tickets and hotels are cheap and there is lots to do there! I plan to get a group of friends to go and have a fun weekend!

You can sit around in your pessimism and pity party. I won't be joining you.

Ok, now it makes sense. 

When the initial reports of Gaga doing a Vegas residency at around $400k per show came out I was kind of puzzled since it seemed kind of low for her to do this (especially since she probably clears $ 1mil net profit on her bigger sold out tour shows) , but now it came out it will be closer to $1mil per show plus extra for merchandise sales.   She and her management got really lucky in that she is at the right place at the right time;  she is at a new peak in her career and MGM Park is having a grand reopening end of 2018 and was looking for a star performer to put them on the map and attract a younger demographic.   With Gaga coming off her Superbowl performance,  Coachella, Golden Globe, Grammy Nominations, a successful tour, and a movie coming out, plus 25/75mil instagram/twitter followers, she definitely was what they were looking for;  => Jackpot  $1mil+ per show!!!!   

The Park theater only has around 5000 seats so they can barely cover her fees with ticket sales so you can tell MGM Park booked her mainly for branding and to attract a younger clientele.  This is important to know because this might mean MGM Park will try to keep ticket prices reasonable to attract that demographic, so maybe $100 to $200 for mid range tickets?  (obviously there will be VIP tix for thousands more).

And it has been reported that Gaga might be sweetening the pot for MGM Park by debuting some new songs during her residency.   Some of you are complaining that she is selling out/retiring but that may not be the case; she has enough time to do projects in between including releasing new albums (Bruno Mars released two albums during his vegas res for example).    Money is always a difficult topic to talk about but if someone is going to be making that kind of money we should be happy it is Gaga and not someone else.  At least Gaga uses her platform to help others more than most artists.   (and like i said previously i am sure she also did it to provide job opportunities for her tour family of musicians and dancers and crew, and to not have to deal with the travel grind due to health issues).

By the way, her albums about "how much she loved being famous" was a satire and commentary about the superficiality and dangers of being famous.  If you watch her early interviews she explains what she was trying to say.  For example during her VMA Paparazzi performance where she bled and hung herself she was saying a similar message.

My point is she's focusing her attention in the wrong place we've seen this before with gaga, she builds up foundations to make a WW successful era then makes a mistake which sets her back, if she does a few months December 2018 January 2019 has a break focus on LG6 the. Return as pre LG6 tour promo way may still stand a chance, but she should have focused on one thing at a time, or showed attention to places she's not attended for a while 👍

Shes actually reported to be paid $1mil+ for each of her 75 shows;  and if you include merchandise splits it can easily exceed $100mil total for her total run.

As i mentioned in my previous post it might be MGM park wanted her to attract a younger and diverse demographic for their casino so they might keep the tickets relatively low to do that, so say between $100 to $200 for the mid range seats.  And I am sure Gaga will probably want the tix to be low as well for the same reason and for her fans.   We shall see.....
