FINAL RESULTS: Gaga As A Top Female Artist in 2017

The 2017 Billboard year officially ended yesterday when the results of the final week of the charts were revealed. Billboard years run from mid - November to mid -November. Therefore, the Billboard year of 2017 started on November 11, 2016 and ended November 9, 2017. Billboard keep a chart of the top artists each week. the chart is based on:

Here is how Gaga charted on the top female chart in 2017. While looking at the chart, I noticed that females were FLOPPING in the first half of 2017, but started to recover in the second half, as more females were added to the overall list (Katy, Halsey, SZA, Kesha, Demi, Cardi B, etc). The 2017 Billboard year started 3 weeks AFTER Joanne was released.

based on the first half of 2017 that i have done for most female artists, it looks like Rihanna will be #1 and Adele will be #2. Taylor's reputation will only chart in 2018, so she's out of the running. Gaga's biggest competition for #3 of the year will be Alessia Cara (Scars To Your Beautiful, Stay, and Logic's song *features are counted equal to leads*) and Ariana (Side to Side and DW. Expect Gaga in the Top 5 at least, though

well top 5 is definitely something great, at least she didn't release an album and 3 singles in this time period which all flopped

HOWEVER, the year end chart then includes touring and Gaga has made WAY more money touring. Alessia didn't even tour this year. Ariana did tour for 3 months in the US. Gaga toured for about 2 months, but brought in twice as much as Ariana did for each show. Adele didn't tour in the US during 2017. Rihanna didn't tour in the US in 2017.

This only makes me think about how meticulous the outfits picked for every event and press around them were. Finally a better media curated album since BTW. She deservessss!!!! Queen of 2017

haha well unrolling new music/ an album always needs a media plan in order for music not to flop. Gaga's ARTPOP promo was weird, vomit artists, glowsticks, weird outfits, strange interviews and walking performances, etc. C2C had a decent touring but only for USA, idk if some other countries, and the media promo was kinda boring. Finally Joanne has iconic fashion statements, great slots for promo on international tv, great interviews on radio, a netflix docu, superbowl, etc. She deserves all the media attention.
