Jay Z announces 3rd Annual Tidal X Concert to benefit natural disasters

"Concert goers and lovers where anticipating the announcement and now it’s here! Tidal took to social media to announce the third annual Tidal X that yearly takes place in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center. Reports were recently released that claimed Beyoncé would headline the concert alongside husband Jay Z, but those reports were quickly shot down by a rep on Beyoncé’s team. The event will be hosted by Angie Martinez as it was last year.

Little information remains about the benefit concert as of now including the roster of performing acts, but Tidal announced in a statement that this year’s show would be benefiting natural disasters. They stated, “all proceeds from the show will go to organizations that support relief and recovery for those affected by the unprecedented natural disasters”. Those groups will include Global Giving, All Hands Volunteers, Kids in Need Foundation, Direct Relief, One America Appeal, Greater Houston Community Foundation, and much more.

Previously the event has hosted some incredible acts including Beyoncé, Jay Z, Nicki Minaj, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Justine Skye, Alicia Keys, Dave East, and many more. Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj debuted the first ever and only performance of “Feelin’ Myself” together at the first annual Tidal X concert in October 2015.
