I used to jump around in my bedroom to these things when I was at least like 10. First we can talk about the one and only cheesy goodness of Potential Breakup Song. Although I want to talk about the one true stand out Chemicals React that was so great for it's time and still remains to be imo. Their music was mainly targeted for young viewers, but this song had a level of maturity back then that so many "Disney stars" didn't have. AJ's second verse "You make me feel out of my element Like I'm drifting out to the sea Like the tides pullin' me in deeper Makin' it harder to breathe" Was so deep for me as a child and again still gets me like it did back then. Some other bops that were unknown. I mean Slow Down is even more relatable being older, than when I was 10 so it's insane to me that it was pretty much targeted for pre-teens. Speak For Myself also had some pretty deep lyrics. "You suffocate me You drown me out I'm tired of waiting Without a doubt I feel I'm fading I flicker out My heart is screaming Without a sound" The lyrics are a little basic, but honestly relatable. They had the same punk vibe that Demi Lovato had when she started out, so it's a shame that they didn't get the same amount of attention. Most of their punk-esque songs are such bops too. Ex: I mean all I'm saying is, their old music was underrated as hell when you're comparing to bigger child music stars of that generation, but whatever.
