It was a horrible event, and I know people in the US had a bad time with racism, but the rest of the world has it's own events, so we cant be all arms because someone that is not from the US doesn't follow what happened with US history and your own "bad words to say"

Because it is a word used to be derogatory in your country (and some European ones), not the whole word, just like I said earlier, "Gypsy" is an insult in many part of the world, but not for people from the US, and they use it freely

Siitä on jo yli 15 vuotta kun näin viimeksi kävi. Olin jo ehtinyt unohtaa, miltä se tuntui. Olin varmaan ehtinyt alkaa luulemaan, ettei tällaista nykyään enää edes tapahdu. 

Väärässä olin. 

Sisälläni kiehuu ja silmissä sumenee. Posket punoittavat ja pulssi on katossa. Yritän saada hengitystäni tasaantumaan, mutta tuntuu ihan kuin minua olisi lyöty mahaan. Juuri noin vahva vaikutus yhdellä sanalla on.

Kolme varttitunti sitten olin Kaisaniemen metron kupeessa matkalla tämänpäiväiseen Hack for Society- seminaariin, kun keski-ikäinen mies heitti tuon vastoin kasvojani. 

Keskellä kirkasta päivää ja täysin odottamatta. Innostus seminaarista on tiessään. En pysty keskittymään mihinkään muuhun kuin sisälläni raivoavaan myrskyyn. Saan tehdä kaikkeni, etten anna suuttumukselleni valtaa ja vedä kaveria turpiin. 

Tuo yksi sana onnistui hetkessä romuttamaan sen, mitä olin kaikkien näiden vuosien ajan rakentanut. Luulin olevani jo tottunut ja pystyväni sivuuttamaan tuollaiset. Mutta ei. 

En sittenkään ole päässyt eteenpäin tuosta hetkestä silloin 15 vuotta sitten. Ehkä en tule koskaan pääsemäänkään? Olo on ihan yhtä paska kuin silloinkin. Ja likainen.

Hetkessä tuo mies pilasi koko päiväni ja minäkuvani. Pakko olisi kuitenkin yrittää päästä negatiivisuudesta eroon. Ja nousta tuon yhden ihmisen typeryyden yläpuolelle. Mutta miten?

Don't you even try to defend him by saying he's not American so it's not a big deal for him to say the n-word. The racist connotation of that word is way too strong to be ignored, even by non-Americans. It's just wrong, no matter where you're from.

I don't care about the history of the word right now. This was not my point in the first place. As I previously mentioned at least 2 times,I understand that the word has ended up being "negative" just because of its history.

You (for example) learned it from where? 

Who invented the word?

The rest of the world would be using a word that was invented from people who opressing and doing crimes against humanity. 

And black people dont only live in the us, and no matter where they live, they feel bad hearing that word. Stop using it and please try to understand. (I know u dont use it but just saying)
