Applause is the most unrelatable Gaga song and combined to its very generic production, it just had nothing to offer as a lead single. I'm not saying it wouldn't be a cute choice for second or third single tho. If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. Â The Weeknd in the video would have made it cool and sexy. Â It may have been a #1 hit if it were pushed hard as the lead single. Â R Kelly kind of ruined it.
