I always knew Joanne will have an impact and whoever doubted it all I can say to you is haven't you learned by now that anything Gaga releases ends up dictating what everyone else will do? Truly, the greatest of this generation and one of the greatest of all time.

Miley and Kesha had more folksy, countryish roots, I agree. But the fact that Gaga released an album that helped prime/prepare/orient (whatever it is that you feel is more apt) the masses more open to these kinds of songs in mainstream music at the current climate is in fact, there and being noticed by people in the industry.

I think it's still a little early to tell. No acoustic pop song has had much success on the charts recently. Pop music is still very EDM and Hip Hop oriented. Just my opinion though.

I agree, but the article said it was GOING in the more acoustic direction which is undoubtedly true. Artist like Shawn Mendes, Ed sherran, Niall Horan, Miley, Kesha, and Gaga all have records that lean on a more acoustic sound. EDM/Hip Hop influences will, hopefully, die down.

"I'm what's happening" -Gaga in that zane interview

Is that when he called Gaga the "pre-EDM/pre-DM" trendsetter? Nice.

3 points in and ready for more
