I was a bit disappointed that they didn't nominate her (especially after seeing what they actually nominated ) but her getting an Emmy nom is more prestigious. Also, she has a lot of these anyway.

I feel like she's slowly moving away from the VMA/MTV sphere (or rather at this point, already moved away). Some here think that's a bad thing, but I think it gives her more freedom to say 'to hell with it' and make something amazing that doesn't have to mean traveling on the same lane that includes 5th Harmony and Calvin Harris or whoever. Joanne proved that she can be successful without pandering to what's trendy. The Cure has given her more of a push with radio programmers and her streaming than if she had released a Joanne track, but I feel that she's at a crossroads where she could pursue a top 40 comeback, or become more of an artist that does her own thing.
