Taylor Swift talks to her fans the way a substitute teacher trying  to be cool would talk to her students. 
Lady Gaga talks to her fans the way your best friend would talk to you. 
There's a BIG difference. One is trying to build an image with a base, the other just has a connection based on common principles with her base.

Like what does Taylor have in common with most of those girls? An inner hatred for ****boys and forever 21 skirts? How depthy. 

Gaga is tied to her fans in a fight for something far more intimate like equality, freedom, self empowerment.

Closing because it is a matter of personal opinion that varies by each fan and it's not something quantifiable. 

Sure, Gaga could do those things, but she has different goals, being a totally different person.

Taylor and Gaga are both fabulous artists with their own paths to follow and trailblaze. Let's not pit them against each other like fan serving pit bulls in a whose virtual d*ck is better contest....
