Doot 2 Posted January 4, 2018 Author Share Posted January 4, 2018 Blumhouseâs Halloween Hires Its Special FX Team  The last word we brought you guys on the upcoming Blumhouse sequel to John Carpenterâs Halloween was to let you know that Laurie Strode granddaughter had been cast with Andi Matichak snagging the role. Today we have news that the Special FX team responsible for crafting Michael Myersâ new mask have been hired! Pretty cool, huh? The team will consist of Christopher Nelson, who won an Academy Award for Suicide Squad and has also worked for âAmerican Horror Storyâ, âThe Capeâ, âNip/Tuckâ, Deadpool, Sin City, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, Netflixâs Bright, and Avengers: Infinity War. On top of that, we learned via Halloween Daily News that Vincent Van Dyke will co-design the mask. Van Dyke is known for Greyâs Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, Scream Queens, Dexter, The Revenant, and I, Tonya. Then again, since all the films in the franchise past the original are not actually part of *this* particular continuity, itâll kinda be the first time weâve seen Laurie in FORTY years!
