Congratulations Lorde for releasing such an exceptional album and I hope her future endeavors will also prosper as muc as Melodrama and perhaps even more!

“David really liked Lorde, and he felt like she was the future of music, and they had a few wonderful moments together,” Garson explained. “She was the perfect choice. Some of David’s family members and David’s management had some suggestions she’d be the right one. They wanted to bring the next generation in.”

doppelganger

1. Lorde is doing amazing

2. 200k for Joanne is massive in relation to other female debuts the past year

3. Pretends not to see Katy's tragic second week fall

Damn, if that happens, it'd be a bigger drop than Yeezus, which I think currently holds the record.

Impressive! after 10 years in the music industry she still owning it

Ah yes, a negative 92% sales drop (a new record!) in the second week after an excessive amount of promotion shoved up the GP's throats is “owning it".

I think MDNA, which also had a tour bundle, has the biggest sales drop (87%).  Yeezus is second I believe.

Oh, I see, you're correct. I just googled it, Yeezus was 80%, and MDNA was 87%
