The capitals of Azerbaijan and Russia are in Europe. Cyprus is an island which is hard to determine the continent for, but politically it's part of Europe and is is the EU.  default_tina.gif

Cyprus counts to Europe politically, but belongs to Asia geographically.

Anyway, Eurovision has never been a contest for European countries. It's a contest between broadcasters that are active members of the European Broadcasting Union, which even broadcasters near the European border can be and is. So whether a country is European or not doesn't matter at all.

If you don't like Israel competing you might be in luck next year as their broadcaster got shut down recently so they currently don't have a broadcaster that is a member of the EBU and therefore wouldn't be able to participate in Eurovision.
