I'm sure from the way they've spoken of each other that they didn't end on such bad terms where they can't even speak to each other when at the same wedding. Even when I had bad breakups, I still have been able to keep the peace when at the same event/party as an ex. It's awkward if you don't acknowledge the elephant in the room.
