He is on the list, unfortunately. I don't think he's that influential, though. He's as influential as Ted Cruz or John Kasich: not. His time is over.

Also, inb4 the busted berners demand that the DNC is RIGGING THE WHOLE POLL FOR DUERTE!

Emma Watson has really made more of a name for herself with this feminism angle IMO.

Anyway, I voted, and I'm glad we got her in the top 10, but I'm kind of over this. Time has put various celebs on there before when they did nothing too particularly noteworthy, but I have a feeling they'd Laverne Cox her even if we got her to #1. Whatever though, she's had a really great year so far anyway, so eh.

Urgh. Don't think I'll bother voting. I basically had to scroll through like 30 people till I got frustrated.

I thought I was the only flop fan on this topic :ladyhaha:

I scrolled through 10 and couldn't be bothered :madge:

Lmao sit down. He's been the most active and sought after left-wing politician by the media since Trump took office and no corporatist democrat is going to change that, even if they try to push Corey Booker. Poor democrats can't even get their popularity numbers above Trump and the Republicans. I wonder why. 🤔🤔

This is a conversation you DON'T want to have. I have a degree in Political Science, and I literally study politics, polls, and public policy as a profession. Sen. Sanders can be credited just as much as Putin, the FBI, and fools falling for fake news for handing Donald Trump the White House. Even TIME Magazine (The organization in which this thread is centered) has stated that Bernie Sanders played a major part in Trump's victory as his desperation reached it's peak towards the end of the primaries. Also, there has been recent evidence that fake news was even being distributed during the primary to BENEFIT Bernie! I'd like to note that there was, absolutely, an opposition folder on Bernie Sanders that the Clinton campaign never even TOUCHED in fear that they'd alienate following that he did have going into the General Election. Additionally, Senator Sanders is NOT a democrat. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing who saw the Democratic Party as a means to further his socialist ideals that are simply unrealistic to implement in the United States, and people see through it. Of course, there are a few people who still can't just let it go that he wasn't and still isn't popular enough to achieve success beyond a cult following during a Primary in which he was walloped by a candidate that many people consider unliked and unpopular.

I'll offer you the seat that you offered me. :-)

Damn. All of that studying and you still don't really have a clue. :( Poor that.

Hillary lost because of the electoral college system and because she and the DNC represent the status quo. You think being the status quo is going to win you an election when outsiders were the ones who drew massive crowds and excitement? Obviously not. Voters didn't come out for the democrats. They lost states that hadn't gone red in years. Democrats lost the White House, congress, and hundreds of state and local positions. Tell me again how Russia managed to infiltrate all of those voting booths haha.

There are more independent voters than there are democratic and republican voters. Please spare me this tired argument that being an independent is a bad thing. If you had any sense of what the political climate is now after the election, you'd realize that it's actually something that benefits him. He has independents and progressive democrats at his side. He even flips republicans easily, as can be seen in his two televised town halls. All point to the fact that what Bernie Sanders proposes is not pie in the sky. It's what the MAJORITY of Americans want. Major cities and states are already moving toward these progressive policies.

Really the main reason why Bernie lost the primary was because Hillary had name recognition. Bernie was still a nobody to people who dont follow politics, particularly in the South. Also, Superdelegates? Hillary's bloated delegate count swayed Media to call her the winner prematurely. I mean, even Republicans agree that the democratic primary system is, ironically, undemocratic.

Go ahead and berate Bernie for doing his thing, I guess. While Bernie is out talking to people and fighting for Obamacare and social security, Hillary Clinton must be at some Goldman Sachs dinner or whatever rich people do. YAS kween, get them coinz :toofunny:

Edit:

For the mother****ing record... I voted for Hillary Clinton. Didn't save her from the bloodshed in the south/Midwest. States that benefit from the electoral college system.

Oh my God are Hillary stans STILL coming after Bernie? Damn.

You don't have to like him obviously but why are y'all so pressed?

FYI most of us Bernie supporters voted for Hillary and she lost. She is the one that is over. She will never recover from losing to DONALD TRUMP.

I will applaud both Bernie and Hillary for their efforts in moving our country towards progress. They both have during Trump's presidency. Obviously Hillary has been quieter because of the whole peaceful transition of power...

Get over the primaries. They are long gone. Democrats, progressives need to look towards the threats right in front of us.
