shmal96 2,928
 With Youtube's 'Restricted Mode' feature turned on, Gaga videos are blocked and will not come up when searched (example: Born This Way). Other LGBT videos and vloggers are having their videos restricted as well (Tyler Oakley).  From Google's website: "You can use Restricted Mode to help screen out potentially objectionable content that you may prefer not to see or don't want others in your family to see on YouTube. We use community flagging, age-restrictions, and other signals to identify and filter out potentially inappropriate content. Restricted Mode is available in all languages, but due to potential cultural sensitivities, the quality may vary."

It's worth being pointed out though because LGBT content shouldn't be considered 'inappropriate'. Sexual content is different than having a video titled "LGBT right advocates who inspire me" blocked.

Vimeo is probably the safer bet, but since they are more for content creators than regular people, they probably will stay in their niche. There's (sadly) still Facebook and Twitter. Unfortuantely youtubers have to make the first move before people follow And because Youtube pays the bills, it's not going to happen Life ain't Hollywood for any one of us.
