Joanne is surely a much more mature album in terms of sounds and themes, but not onceĀ I felt the urge to go back and listen to it in its entirety. EdgeofTeeth 1,934 Posted March 16, 2017 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Joanne is WAY more cohesive and has a much clearer direction than ARTPOP. That being said, I still like ARTPOP so much more. It's interesting and just downright fun to listen to. Gaga truly made the BOPS with this album and even if the thematic part of the album is a little bit flawed, I still go back and listen to it far more than I ever did with Joanne.
