It was one of the things that drew me as a fan to Gaga -- that a pretty superficial party song could be turned into a ballad. Beautiful.

Also, love her sass: "If you don't shut up, I'm not going to play.." 

 

It's been a while I hadn't listened to this, very beautiful, too bad she didn't do it on other occasions and we don't have it in good quality.

Just Dance has always had a bit of nostalgic and sad touch for me, even the studio version, so the transition into a ballad isn't so surprising for me.
