Green Detox 2,779 Posted January 22, 2017 Share Posted January 22, 2017 I tried to disect the body of ARTPOP to find each every bits of what Gaga tried to incorporate in that album, because we all know it was bombarded by ideas, that eventually got messy and confusing. 1.The Three Stages Of Art History Renaissance Art from Classical Art Period (Pointing out to the Birth Of Venus Background) Cubism from the Modern Art Period Baroque Art from the Classical Art Period Op Art from the Modern Art Period (From the booklet) For instance, every obvious ARTSY fashion, photoshoot, visuals that she presented on the era was picked up somewhere there at the different stages of art history 2.Technological/Futuristic Concepts 3.Her More Personal/Natural Side (ha Joanne Era tease) 4.EDM/Rave Culture She mostly presented this side of the era on the artRAVE Tour But of course it had its first appearance on the songs itself, it basically was an EDM album. So yeah, it was fun cracking every boxes of this era, figuring out every concept she tried to put in this album and made us digest, which was you know, pretty difficult because there were many of them and they were complicated, but as messy as everything might seem, i will never forget the magic of this era. And don't get me wrong, I love ARTPOP, I'm a huge supporter! All she wanted to do was reference art and be unlimited in her creativity and passion.
