The Idea Of Promoting the entire album sounded unique

Every show is an opportunity for a new, different audience . A song for everybody .

what's the point of having 5 different live performances of A-Yo or Million Reasons.

She's an album/tour artist. Joanne is a unique album. It has so much going on. The idea of one single at a time is boring. We don't need a hit single.

we need album praise.

Its interesting but sending 1 to radio at a time still works better

Many people are won over for a song after a few listens and if there isnt enough concentrated promotion or airplay of a specific song at a time its hard to catch on

She can still perform other songs nevertheless.

great idea, but when you think about it, she's already done that for Born This Way, she was performing non-singles on tv shows

Ok but after she gives A-YO and Million Reasons what they deserve, those two have crazy top 10 potential and she's already promoting them so why not push harder.

The rest of the album doesn't have songs that I can see going top 10  :ladyhaha:

So yes after A-YO and MR , promote all of Joanne Gagas or shall I call her Jowen :ladyhaha:

It's not really unique, because Beyonce's been doing that for the past 2 or 3 album cycles, but it's definitely a good idea. The longer Gaga keeps putting out albums, the more I'm realising that she's probably never going to put out anything that will be eaten up by the radio again. Not saying she won't ever have another hit, but Gaga's not adapting to any particular radio trends. She's going in her own direction.

So why bother pushing one single in a futile effort to make a song that goes against what's popular at the moment a hit? Joanne is a quality album, why not just push it as a whole?

Stop the 'album artist' because she's not that since 2011. :saladga:

TheFame Monster

She did this with TFM. She performed Speechless at the AMAs and Grammys, Dance in the Dark at the Brits, Teeth on the Today Show, Monster on Oprah, all in addition to promoting the singles.

This. And Gaga back then never did the same performance of a song twice. Remember how many different versions of Bad Romance? That's in part what made Gaga an inspiration, she didn't take the safe way of just singing the studio version over and over again. Then somehow she changed it with ARTPOP and now Joanne - haven't seen a 'unique' approach to Million Reasons, Perfect Illusion or A-YO so far. As for Beyonce, after her collaborations with Gaga on Telephone/Videophone the whole world noticed the Gaga influence on her. Unfortunately, whereas Beyonce went from strength to strength, polishing and perfecting her game and kept surprising audiences (grand performances, visual albums, dropping albums without notice etc), Gaga was having major issues with her management, plenty of meltdown and lack of interest from GP in the pre/during ARTPOP era.

Gaga picked things up though pretty fast considering the very positive response to C2C and all her live awards performances since. Joanne seems to be the cherry on the cake :)
