The Make Me video is what went wrong. It killed any hype and excitement both fans and general public had for her return. Also her not promoting Brinty Joan kinda damaged her brand.

I feel like now is the time for artists to shine, like Gaga, Adele, Arianna etc. People know that all Britney's music is heavily auto tuned and they know that her shows are lip synced, people aren't here for it, I was a massive Britney fan before I still watch her performances  just wish she wouldn't lip sync, I was disappointed with her Jonathan Ross performance.
