C2C has sold about 972,000 world wide. I can't picture Joanne selling that much, even though I want it too. With that plus the fact that streaming is the new norm, i don't see it selling anymore that ANTI did.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

You know what, no I don't think so. And honestly I don't care. She's been proving us since the beginning that she wants her music to speak for her vision. Gaga will never outsell anything, because she doesn't want to follow the formula to make a radio-friendly-hit-song. She was lucky back in the days, she made a genre popular and was best at it. Now she's doing something else, and it is still amazing, if not better, than her previous work. <3

972k are those first week sales or overall up to now?

I voted no if first week.

It's a Baby boomer's market for sales now and her partnership with Tony was such a smart move. All these teens and 20-30-somethings dont buy her music anyway and just pirate it. :crossed:

no, joanne won't outsell c2c in the US, but WW it seems to have a tiny chance, specially with the superbowl

The metacritic score is not final, not even close and is not like reviews of C2C were stellar, and have been only one single out. All singles from C2C flopped much harder than PI.

I'm 22 and I still buy CD's :noparty:

That feeling of putting the CD into the disc tray just :excited2:

Nothing beats having a physical copy in your hands.

Spoiler

Except having 5 physical copies in your hand :whitney:

Actually the critical reception right now is excellent, it got off to a bad start with some pieces that were obviously aimed at being bad reviews before they even heard the album.. (NYT is a good example of this, their bad review came from an author who has a proven dislike for Gaga...) The genuine reviews coming through now are quite supportive of Joanne.
