Meh, selling albums is hard these days. I'm sure if we looked at every female single selling over 1,000,000 copies there'd be hundreds. 15-20 years ago breaking that was rare. Combine people's preference for singles with streaming and torrents, it's easy to see why it's difficult to go platinum these days. I wouldn't be surprised if the bar is set lower in the near future.
