Dope debuted at number 8 with only 31k sales and no radio support. If Gaga were to pull something similar release week for Perfect Illusion she'd probably have a number one debut on lock. She got her song to be played as an ad for the show in other videos and that counted as streams toward the hot 100. For example, if u clicked on Jimmy Fallon video, her performance of Dope at the YouTube awards would come up as an ad before you could see Jimmy. This led Dope to debut at 8 on the hot 100 and 1 on streaming. If she did something similar with Perfect Illusion, she'd debut stop streaming and (most likely) the digital chart, as well as have a huge radio deal, so it'd well on radio and the song would almost definitely debut atop the hot 100. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

It didn't barely get top 20, it peaked at 13 but ur right that she should've done DWUW. A number 8 peak would've been better for her second single.
