The level of the VMAs has diminished through the years. That's the reason why some of us don't feel that Gaga, as an artist, fits there.

The same with some other talented artists.

Maybe I'm just sour because of the amount of times Gaga has been snubbed by MTV.

I don't want to see her there because their 'award' shows are a pile of sh!te. They've been getting worse and worse for years now, or perhaps it's my taste in pop stars that's changed. 

For me it's a show for teenagers (another reason as to why I'm biased perhaps), I'd like to think that Gaga is beyond performing at 'these' type of shows such as VMA/AMA, Teen Choice, MuchMusic etc. 

I'm a Gaga fan so of course I think she's better than them, I do understand though that if you're 10-15 years younger than me, the excitement you'd feel if Gaga attends the VMAs, but for me, MTV and the VMAs are just a drag.
