One Dance is the most 'irrelevant' no. 1 hit song on the Billboard Hot 100

Mostly because it doesn't have a video on Youtube, but even then it sounds really bland, and does not have a personality to it, not even sounding like hit-material. And yet it manages to be one of the biggest, if not the BIGGEST hit of 2016, dominating the chart for 10 WEEKS! I It just baffles me how successful it is. It's a mega hit song that will be totally forgotten in the future. People won't come back to this song and be like 'hey, what a hit classic'.

if you discount streaming, its been number 1 for 3 weeks and now its like #19 or something. Should be.

It's #1 because it's got a great vibe, great lyrics, and a great hook.

This is the lamest song ever and "the young generation " loves it

The only thing they liked was the line "Baby I like your style" or whatever it was
They played this song over and over again just for this line

I feel like Drake took sleeping pills before singing his vocals... The beat is very basic too, IMO. Not even danceable. Less is sometimes more, but not this case.

I mean unless you stream your music or even bothered to buy it, nobody will ever hear it. Some probably did hear it a few times on the radio but it's sounds so insignificant that they never even thought it was hit song.
