Her Swine performance at SXSW in 2014 received almost exclusively negative press. There's a whole lot of other career defining controversies though, Born This Way vs. Express Yourself, the hip, all of her bad press in 2012 about her 'weight gain'. That iconic photoshopped picture of her during the BTWB in the replica meat dress (was it in Italy?) may be the worst. There were were so many pictures like that that were just plastered in every single pop culture magazine. I dont know how she survived that. I would have been crushed.
