Demi Lovato or Meghan Trainor?

I personally think there's no competition, Demi is by far the superior singer. But I see several people praising Meghan Trainor on this site (referring to her as the queen of pop, which I can only interpret as a humorous epithet) and many calling Demi a flop. I'm unfamiliar with any of these artists' sales, so I don't know if the comments I've stumbled on have been mostly referring to that.

So, who do you prefer?

Meghan may not be the next Whitney, but her performances are cute she always seems to having a lot of fun and doesn't take herself too seriously plus she has great pitch control which I prefer over range honestly.  On top of it that, she writes all her music which I respect.  Lastly, who has the Grammy?

Both of them are terrible, but AT LEAST Demi has good vocals and potential and can actually sing.
