It's like most US crime dramas - there is a fire or accident - any situation that may require firefighters or paramedics is generally the centre point of each episode. I sometimes cringe at how they do rescues and stuff only because I know they wouldn't do that **** in real life but it's pretty good. Aside from that, it's like any soap opera tbh haha - every character has their storylines - love, heartbreak, dark secrets, family issues. Some storylines are quite serious i.e. right now it's basically exploring corruption in the higher order of the fire department but they always twist in some light hearted storylines/scenes to balance it out.
