SissyFromSpace 20,883 Posted May 21, 2015 Share Posted May 21, 2015 Lemme make this rant real quick: Gaga has done so much to promote peace and equality and it annoys me when people like Nicki Minaj (who has a history of homophobia) and Beyonce (who was disgusted by Britney/Madonna kissing at the VMAs 2003 so low key homophobic at the time) gets praised to to pedestal. Gaga has pushed so many boundaries. She's on par with Madonna, Freddy Mercury, Bowie, etc (other iconic artists/activists) but people like Ariana,Nicki,Beyonce,SnoopDogg,Taylor Swift etc get a round of applause (with a whopping 300K+ notes on Tumblr) for minor achievements such as "same s-x marriage is human rights" (yeah Snoop Dog never said such thing but he gets applause for painting his nails despite being homophobic as ****) idk. sorry. its just something that's been annoying me. Preach it sis! The fact that she did it with a jazz album is certainly impressive. As for what @Lance stated, I agree. I'd also like to add that Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Madonna blogs often post hateful messages about Gaga's weight or appearance, despite the fact that it's supposedly anti feminist.
