@Sister  😭

Yes! I have heard this so long ago, but forgot about it. I wonder where or with whom I even heard it with. It's nice, yes.

Remember when Deon and George released that... back then I thought it was a bit boring... but it is a nice song :-) I remember Deon was playing in Wham but since then I have not heard much about him.

Idk why did I always think that George was short. :duck: Not that it matters much.

Then I watched this video

:flutter:

Google says 183cm

Other source:  He mentioned his height on twitter in 2012, saying "I'm 5 foot eleven". (180cm)

It is confirmed that there will be a George Michael tribute at The Grammy's.  :excited2::applause:

Grammys announce tributes for Prince and George Michael

The Recording Academy announced on Wednesday that the 59th annual Grammy Awards will pay homage to late pop icons, Prince and George Michael, who both died in 2016. The awards show, airing Sunday, will feature tributes to the stars.

“While the primary focus of the Grammy Awards is to celebrate and honor the year’s best in music, we consider it our responsibility to tell music’s broader story by honoring its legends lost—that’s what we strive to achieve with our annual tributes,” Grammys Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich said in a statement. “While it’s nearly impossible to convey the full depth of an artist’s cultural impact in a single performance, it’s that very challenge that has led us to some of our most memorable Grammy moments.”

It has not yet been announced which artists will participate in each tribute, but previously-announced performers include Katy Perry, John Legend, Metallica, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars, Keith Urban, Adele, and Beyoncé.

The 59th annual Grammys, hosted by James Corden, will air Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Can't wait!

Me too! I hope that Adele is a part of it, at least.

I thought that George was shorter than he was too. :giggle: I think specifically because of the Faith video.

George Michael's family only allowed Grammys tribute to him because I was performing it, says Adele

http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/george-michaels-family-only-allowed-9845885

The British singer said she was “broken” at the news of George’s shock death, aged 53, at Christmas

Adele has revealed George Michael ’s family only allowed a Grammys tribute to the star when they knew it would be her singing it.

She said she was “broken” at the news of George’s shock death, aged 53, at Christmas.

And the star said she chose his 1996 hit Fast Love for the tribute because it was the song that made her a huge fan.

Speaking after her turn at the Grammys, Adele told Sunday People : “I was devastated, I had to go for a walk on my own and on Boxing Day I said to Simon, my partner, I have to do that tribute.

"They didn’t want a tribute at first – his family and camp – and they came back and were very specific that it be me.

“I said, ‘Great, I have got something in the pipeline. If you want me to do it, I will do it’.”

Adele, 28, who sang a jazz version of Fast Love, added of the song: “When the video came out, I was blown away by how f***ing hot he was.

"It is exceptional how good looking he was.” She also said George, whose hits included Faith and Father Figure, influenced her with his views on life and fame.

She said: “I found him one of the truest icons, because when people are that famous there is not fakeness in a bad way but they put on an alter ego to protect themselves, and rightly so.

"I understand and appreciate that.”

Adele became the first star to win best record, song and album twice at the Grammys in Los Angeles last Sunday.

Fans saw her praise Beyonce on stage and admit she wanted her to win best album.

“I voted for her. My album of the year was Lemonade,” admitted Adele.

“I remember how I felt when I heard it, and I fell in love immediately with her and that was when I was 11, and I’m 28 now, and how I felt when I heard ‘No, No, No’ was exactly how I felt when I heard ‘Lemonade’ last year.

“For her to be making such relevant music for that long of a period — I felt like it was her time to win — what does she have to do to win album of the year?

“The Grammys are very traditional, but I thought this year would be the year that they would go with the tide.

"I’m very grateful to have won it, but I felt the need [to do what she did during her acceptance speech] because I love her and I felt she is more worthy.”

I love the tributes for him, they were so respectful and meaningful. Just so really lovely. His voice is certainly missed. I still can't believe that we have lost David Bowie, Prince and George Michael.
