And then, the way she performs the song is perfection. She lives it, literally inhabits the lyrics. I guarantee every Broadway producer took note. I think I've watched this performance 50 times at this point and it mesmerizes me every time. Just ****in brilliant. What do you think? Is lush life her most rounded and sublime vocal performance? The thing is when you give a great singer a song as superb but difficult as Lush Life is it can be a triumph or a disaster.
