Billboard: Gaga would be successful with a surprise album release

This needs to happen. 

 

But in order for it to happen, she would need to let go of some creative control and let directors/producers do their work. 

If she copied Beyonce's plan, videos to songs, surprise release, she would lose credibility. It would look like she was copying Beyonce just to make sales because she can't think of any way on her own to release an album. It's been done. I don't see Gaga doing that. She has too much pride to want to look like she's latching on to Beyonce's visual release and marketing strategy. She will probably go more low key and not talk up the album so much like she has done with BTW and ARTPOP and be more surprising, or maybe not. Gaga can't help herself. She likes to talk to the fans about the music while conceptualizing and leading up to the release date. Imagine if Gaga had done this for ARTPOP and Katy then did it the next year. The fanbase would be up in arms about KopyKat Katy.

Gaga does need to get her house in order and have a strong line-up set for rolling out her videos, keeping it exciting for the fans, the anticipation, and not dead periods like this messy era, and hire some great directors, I agree, and not direct them all, but have input and creative collaboration. She just needs to have a better promo plan set up for showcasing the album.
