She was meh in American Hustle and I can't bear to watch Silver Linings Pretentious-book because I know from the get go that I wouldn't enjoy it. Whether or not your opinion agrees, three Oscar nominations with a win proves that she has "genuine merit" (or is perceived to have it by many) fitting her into the category. People are hating on her because she has been recognised to such a degree that many react with hatred over simply indifference or ignoring her.
