Posted on March 13, 2010 by Patricia with 3 commentsWhen I saw Gaga during the dancing scene, I thought about Lynda Carter in Superwoman. Her outfit was crafted by Haus of Gaga and the metallic thigh high boots are from Christian Louboutin Fifre serie. I saw them available in ankle, knee and thigh high. In black, red, grey and sand… so I believe Gaga’s metallic ones were custom made. Superwoman Honey B is wearing this silk one-of-a-kind wonder with Swarovski triangle crystals embellished bodice by OLIMA. The stripe effect you see is about 200 individually sewn red and white silk chiffon strips! For those of you who asked me whether there was some NOKI art involved in the outfits for dancers… … it was, you eagle eyes! Butterflies. Those of you who run your own blogs know perfectly the feeling I’m talking about, don’t you? I saw The Living Dress with top of the headpiece and wings in movement in the only video I was able to find so far and I was blown away. I stared at the photos and watched the video with my eyes and mouth wide open. Warning: What comes after the jump is a highly addictive dose of fairytalness. If you want to take the risk, please take a comfy seat, grab your latte or mate, press the “ready to fly back in time” button and off we go… Posted on January 8, 2010 by Patricia with 1 comment944 Magazine has never look this fierce! Our girl graces the cover of the January vanguard issue of the magazine wearing… … white lace dress by Haus of Gaga and an exquisite headpiece by Alex Noble, custom made from patch worked antique lace, diamonds and feathers, called “Carnival Muerto”. Her absolutely flawless make-up is Billy Brasfield’s work of art. And the magic hands behind the glam curly hairdo belong to Peter Savic. You can check out more Lady Gaga photos by Max Abadian on the 944 official site. There is another delicious headpiece, also exclusively created for Gaga, starring in the January issue of the 944 Magazine editorial: The Crown designed and crafted by Mouton Collet, made of silk tulle embroidered with pearls. Happy to keep the promise I gave you the last time I talked about Mouton Collet. Look at this beauty… The riding hat at is entirely made of white feathers and yes, those are real deer horns. Now tell me, wouldn’t you just love to touch it, try it and take it home? I definitely would. This is something rarely seen when it comes to a tour, so I reeeally appreciate the fact that just when you think you saw all the outfits, she incorporates new ones. Not one or a couple of them. Several new pieces! Bravo Gaga and bravo all the fantastic and enthusiastic people behind the show! I got many e-mails about the black vinyl cape inspired by Gothic 19th century horror created by OLIMA for Lady Gaga’s American Music Awards appearance. You loved it so much. And so did Gaga because on top of including the piece to her tour costume collection, she asked Oscar O Lima to create something more for her. “This time I felt I had more time so it was definitely an opportunity for me to create something more intricate. I started with the black vinyl strip cape that was completely inspired by the Lady herself…” “… I noticed the cape caught light beautifully so in my head hundreds of strips would catch a million more lights. The cape took me about a week to create and I was designing it in my head as I was making it”. A week later Oscar received a request from Nicola Formichetti to make a complete bone look inspired by our girl’s Haus of Gaga Skeleton headwear. And 48 hour later this spectacular Bone Pleather Skeleton dress “was born”. “I was still very much fascinated by the detail of the shoulders I had given the black cape so I decided to use a similar one on this jacket dress and just mold the strips into ribs and a spine on a sculpted bodice”. If you guys spotted some of below photos and wondered about the eyewear our girl wore,… … these monster Hair shades were created by hairstylist St. Peter for OLIMA. And I have some good news for all those of you who want to have a pair. These hair wonders are available upon special request! I can’t wait to see the next costumes. And hope being able to bring you another exclusive piece of this exciting fashion puzzle soon here on FASHION. Stay tuned. Photos vía: Gagadaily/gallery, Socialitelife, Oscar O Lima Posted on December 22, 2009 by Patricia with 9 commentsLucky you who could be a part of any of the fourteen Monster Ball Tour shows Lady Gaga gave so far. Happy for you? No doubts. Jealous? Hell, YES. What I would really looove is to get lost backstage before or after the concert and have a close look at each and every piece of our girl’s TMBT costumes. That would be really something. But until I get my backstage pass and come back to you with an exclusive TMBT Costumes Special, the only thing I can do is trying to find out some information about this fashion puzzle for you. Getting tones of e-mails of yours asking about the tour outfits and don’t want to make you wait any longer despite of not being able to solve the whole fashion mystery so far. But we’ll get there. I’m sure FASHION daily readers were able to ID at least three of the costumes. Haus of Gaga – Gary Card creations, … … Olima black vinyl cape with Pink Cobra boots, … … – adooore the disco ball version of the jacket – … … and of course Gaga’s already famous orb, so far produced in S, … … L … … and now in XXL size. God bless Nasir Mazhar and Haus of Gaga. The next three creations I would really love to have a close look at and then share with you every little detail about, are designed by Zaldy Goco… … in cooperation with Miguel Villalobos, who created the leather owls and wolf with silver fangs for the black faux fur jacket and… … Gaga’s gun helmet.
I read an interview with Zaldy Goco last month in WMagazine, where he was asked about his next big project (you can read the whole interview here) and he answered “I can’t say who it is but I’m designing the tour outfits for a new artist. After I did Michael I got depressed because I thought, who can I work with now that will inspire me like that? And then this artist came along and I thought “She’s the one.” You’ll find out shortly but I can’t quite yet.”, I instantly thought about Gaga. And when I found out he actuall is the Mr. Magic Hands behind some of her tour costumes, you can imagine I almost fell of my chair. Today FASHION’s standing ovations and all my love go to Zaldy and Miguel! More in the next part of the Monster Ball Tour costumes fashion puzzle. Stay tuned.
