I’m sure you noticed Lady Gaga incorporated new costumes to her “tour collection”.
This exquisite silver awe designed and crafted by Olima is one of them.
Gaga wanted “something glittery and metallic with a similar feel as the bone piece I had previously created for her. I used actual glitter which believe it or not I have never worked with. The whole project was completely organic, I didn’t do a sketch nor did I plan out what I was doing, I just had a feeling in mind which was Ice Queen for the silver piece. I collaborated with Franc Fernandez on this look. He is an amazing individual to work with”.
Franc Fernandez (the magic handed guy behind her Bad Romance Diamond crown and ensemble) created the delicately beautiful headpiece Gaga completed her glittery metallic look with. Franc told me it was great working with Oscar on this look and shared with me the piece allowed him to work with materials he’s been aching to play around with.
Did you guys noticed how unbelievably Oscar O Lima and Franc Fernandez complete each other? What a perfect match, isn’t it?
I’ve been watching Franc’s work since quite some time now and what I love about him is how he constantly tops himself and never fails to surprise and wow me. I’m still blown away.
The second outfit customed by Olima for Gaga’s NYE performance in Miami was this purple marvel (I believe even the Queen of the Night herself would be really jealous of).
Oscar wanted to make the purple glitter look chic so he “decided to leave it up to the stars and go for a constellation type feel with the detailing. I managed to finish everything within a matter of 2 days but I couldn’t do it without the help of my amazing team”.

Kristin told me about his friend being the Mr. Magic Hands behind Lady Gaga’s “diamond look”.
We met yesterday night, virtually, and he kindly shared a bit of his amazing experience with me.
I’m sure many of you know him already. The stunning Diamond Crown and Ensemble were created by Franc Fernandez.
“It was a personal request by Nicola Formichetti, Lady Gaga’s stylist, to construct a sort of “diamond princess” piece that she would be wearing in the portion of the Bad Romance video where the men are “bidding” on her. The crown along with the rest of the ensemble are made of individual pieces of jewelry wired together. The crown was
finished the day before and the bust/top portion was literally constructed and molded on Lady Gaga, herself, on the day of the shoot. Lady Gaga has an amazing team around her so it was great to be a part of that experience“.
