Posted on March 13, 2010 by Patricia with 4 commentsWhen I saw Gaga during the dancing scene, I thought about Lynda Carter in Superwoman. Her outfit was crafted by Haus of Gaga and the metallic thigh high boots are from Christian Louboutin Fifre serie. I saw them available in ankle, knee and thigh high. In black, red, grey and sand… so I believe Gaga’s metallic ones were custom made. Superwoman Honey B is wearing this silk one-of-a-kind wonder with Swarovski triangle crystals embellished bodice by OLIMA. The stripe effect you see is about 200 individually sewn red and white silk chiffon strips! For those of you who asked me whether there was some NOKI art involved in the outfits for dancers… … it was, you eagle eyes! Fashion credits: Nicola Formichetti’s blog Posted on March 10, 2010 by Patricia with 3 commentsIt’s a huuuge pity these photos and THIS dress didn’t make it to Gaga’s latest Cosmopolitan editorial… Chanel quilted flap bag, Christian Louboutin peep-toes and… Oh dear Lord… Are you ready to fly back in time? Okay, okay… take your time… I’ll wait for you on the other side… Posted on January 6, 2010 by Patricia with 6 commentsJillian was “wondering what shoes she is wearing with the origami dress”… … and Inuspal tweeted me her question… … and this candid I realy looove. Marilyn Monroe once said she didn’t know who invented high heels, bull all women owe him a lot. And I can not agree with her more. We owe a lot to him and to Christian Louboutin whose signature red sole shoes above I’m pretty sure many of you recognized. The booties Jillian likes are C’est Moi booties but I call them Love Game. And the peep toe shoes Inuspal was asking me about… … are Hidden-Platform Pumps. These are not the only Louboutins our girl has in her closet. We saw her wearing these fabulous vintage looking blue patent Lola Pumps… She also rocked these gold patent leather feet jewels called Robot 120 Ankle Boots… If you loved her yellow heels in Beyoncé’s “Videophone” video, those were Decollete 100 Patent Pumps. And correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the last pair she stepped a stage in were these red patent Lady Page pumps with sculptural front velvet bow. I read an interview with Mr. Louboutin some time ago and kept his answer to “how did you chose the red sole?” question that made me smile and I want to share with you here. He said “I did not really choose the red sole. It’s more like the red sole came to me and had to stay with me. It started as a happy accident, which I kept. I was very inspired by pop art so all my drawings were really full of colors. So the first prototype arrived. It was very similar to my designs so I was very happy. But something was missing. Thank God I had this girl with me who was painting her nails. Grabbed her nail polish – thanks to Chanel for that! I grabbed the nail polish and I painted the sole.” If you decided to make some Louboutins yours online, be careful. There are many red sole fakes out there so make sure you get them from any of the official retailers. I got quite a bunch of e-mails about this dress, other outfits, sunglasses… Thanks a lot!!! I will try to answer all of them directly or here in FASHION. Bit by bit. I’m just a working woman I was reading all your comments and e-mails and have to say Lady Gaga is one happy lady for having such a great family of fans I’m virtually meeting here on GagaDaily.com! The grey dress with over-sized shoulders… … is from French trainded couturier Bernard Chandran. Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur. Picked by the Malaysian Edition of The Tatler Magazine as one of Asia’s 100 most recognizable names. Conferred the ‘Dato’-ship (equivalent to a ‘knighthood’ in the UK where the receiver carries the title ‘Sir’), an honorary title bestowed by the Sultan of Pahang, Malaysia for his outstanding contributions to the fashion industry. The grey stunner is from his Fall 2009 collection. She finished the look with Christian Louboutin Lola pumps. If you didn’t go through Bernard Chandran’s Fall 2009 collection yet, don’t hesitate, grab a coffee or mate and visit Vogue. Take your time, start the slideshow and don’t forget to use the magnifying glass you find there to see all the details. The fabrics. The shapes. It’s oh so worth it! Where is the Genie with his “your wish is my command”? I would ask him for these dresses… … and these coats (it’s suddenly quite cold here in Spain) … And this jacket. I’m sooo in love! Hey, Genie, where are you? I heard you saying this was not Gaga’s first dress by Bernard Chandran. If I remember well, we saw her in another dress. From the Spring 2009 collection. In two different colours. And in the Gaga version of it.
P.S.: Love this image from D&G boutique. Was the D&G butterfly ensemble on the right what went with you home from the shop, Gaga? Photos vía: Moejackson, Elle, Gagadaily/gallery |
