This is for all of you guys who were asking me about who did the manicure in Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance video.

And I’m pretty sure many of you know her already. The magic handed lady behind our girl’s manicure is Kimmie Kyees. We met a few days ago. Virtually.

In the Bad Romance video Kimmie used two nail polishes.

The black one – the one so many of you went crazy about…

… is “Liquid Leather by China Glaze and the gold mesh is from Jo-Ann Fabric… we just attached it while the polish was still wet… Later she pulled all the gold off and wore just the black nails when the diamonds were in the air. Upclose the polish looked so cool – almost like alligator skin from where the mesh used to be attached to the polish! I made the nails and we weren’t sure we were gonna use them and I was super glad that we did…. I thought they were creative and unlike anything I had done before!”.

The other colour Kimmie used…

… was “Alpine Snow from OPI in Matte – looked great with all her intricate hand movements!”

There is still one part of the Bad Romance fashion puzzle to come. Don’t ask me. Won’t tell.

Can’t wait to see the next video and bring you as many pieces of the new and I’m beyond sure very exciting fashion puzzle as possible.

This is for all of you who asked me about the gold chin protector Slovenian model Yuri Bradac (thanks to Irina J. for sending me his name) wore in Bad Romance video. A crunchy hug to Chema Diaz, who was the first one in sharing his feelings for this metal couture piece with me.

Mr. Magic Hands behind the chin protector is metal couturier Manuel Albarran.

I was so happy when he told that me the moment he read my summer “next headpieces for Lady Gaga” wish, his collaboration with our girl was already a work in progress.

When he talks about his work, it sounds as easy as taking a brass sheet, heating it up in order to soften it, hammering until achieving the desired form, polishing and riveting the parts together. Sounds easy but each and every creation of his clearly transmits there are tones of talent and hours and hours of patience and love behind each and every creation. The Bad Romance master piece took him 3 days to finish!

Make sure you visit his site, you won’t believe what this guys is able to create from a cold sheet of brass. Both for men…

Sooo many of you wanted to know who did Lady Gaga’s make-up and hair for the Bad Romance video.

Mr. Magic Hands behind the make-up is Billy Brasfield…

… and the one behind the hair is Syd Curry. Both of them are one of the most successful and sought after artists in the Fashion and Entertainment industries. Visit their respective official sites and have a look at what these two talented men are capable of creating.

Bad Romance was not their first colaboration with our girl. Billy and Syd also created, among others, her make-up and hairdos for ACE Awards and MOCA 30th Anniversary Gala (huge thanks, Nic, for your help!).

There was another magic handed hair artist’s work featured in the video.

I’m talking about the “Walk walk fashion baby…” look.

The hairpiece Lady Gaga wears is “Lips” from Charlie le Mindu Spring 2010 collection (thanks a lot to Richie for the info!).

Yes, that very one wig a bunch of you wrote me about how much you would love Gaga wearing it.

Now you know she did. Her very own way.

You guys have eagle eyes. What is she has on her head during the fire? Is that a rat hat she has on when lying in that burned bed? Some of you even go further, sending me the exact minute and second. And I’m very grateful and very happy realizing how big your interest is and how carefully you watched the movie.

Yes, it was a Rat Headpiece.

Actually a couple of them.

Both of them were designed and crafted for the Bad Romance video by Reid Peppard, Lady Magic Hands behind her RP/Encore brand – a bold accessories range for both women and men, based in London.

The two pieces Gaga wears in the video were custom made specialy for her. And before you ask, yes, I met Reid and she kindly shared some details with me for you.

Once the sketches of the headpieces were approved, it took her “a week to make the two taxidermied rats built onto combs. The works have Swarovski Crystal Eyes with 100 hand applied hyacinth and fireopal Swarovski Crystals on each tail”.

What a work! Can’t wait to share the pictures with you. I’ll do so the moment I get them.
